JILLIAN SAM
Jillian, an uptight, wanna-be actress is ill prepared for their new neighborhood. Sam, a pot head in search of a revolution is determined to make herself right at home.
THE EPISODES
The 1st
When Jillian and Sam try to make rent by selling off their designer goods they find themselves in fierce mark down battle with an established neighboring yard sale.
Sam rents out the living room to some neighborhood youth. And to Jillian's horror accepts corn as payment. But when a dryer fire breaks out, the renters rescue them from their domestic idiocy.
Sam enlists Jillian to rally troops for a covert urban betterment overhaul. But her mission to add parking to Boyle Heights only ends up calling in the cops and getting everyone that isn't white, sent packing.
When an angelic stray shows up on their front stoop, Jillian decides to adopt it. However, at Sams urging returns it to it's rightful owner, only to discover she's given Miss Puppy back to a thief in their midst.
Sam is in a whirlwind love affair with a poetic gang banger. Suspicious of his stories Jillian hits the streets to investigate his true identity.
Tired of just protesting the local chemical plant, Sam decides to improve the neighborhoods health with a community garden. But when people fall ill, the culprit turns out to be right under her fingernails.
Jillian and Sam fall for a dashing Mariachi. But when he invites them both to the same party, they confront their potential lover, only to find they’ve been invited to his daughters Quinceañera along with everyone else in the neighborhood.
Jill’s and Sam's mothers travel from Beverly Hills and Topanga to give their girls a “tipico mexicano" afternoon lunch. But when they end up competing to see who can handle the most heat. Everyone ends up burnt.
